NATIONAL PAINTER TEAMS with DENVER GALLERY in $100,000 24 hour Haitian Relief Auction

National-renowned artist Jay Wolf Schlossberg-Cohen to contribute his “Haitian Dancers” painting towards a 24-hour relief auction at GALLERY M in Denver, Colorado.

GALLERY M, in conjunction with international social justice artist, Jay Wolf Schlossberg- Cohen, will hold a 24-hour Haitian Relief Event at our main Cherry Creek North gallery and online. The event begins at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, and will run for 24 hours ending on Thursday, January 21, 2010, at 11 AM. The relief goal target is to raise over $100,000 within 24 hours.

DENVER GALLERY Announces Fall Exhibits

National and International gallery, GALLERY M, based in Denver’s Cherry Creek North, announces the fall line-up of exhibits and collector events.

August 15th, 2009, “Woodstock – Ritual and Practice” is a historical look from LIFE photojournalists and others whose rare photographs documented the journey, stay and “decay” at the historic music festival. Opens August 15th at 11 AM and continues to October 31st, 2009

September 4 – December 31st, 2009: Robert Kaupelis – A Retrospective. The first retrospective of this significant American painter and professor looks at his journey from “Learning to Draw” to his expansive, color abstracts. Honoring his recent passing, collectors will be exposed to his small studies, works on paper, notes and original canvas installations. Opens at 6:00 PM and launches the First Friday art walk in September at GALLERY M.

November 10 – January 30th, 2010: LUBIE LOVE – The Fine Art of Film, Photography and New Media. The gallery exposes collectors and the public to the changing landscape of the arts as mixed media has generated a new format referred to as “New Media.” Digital in nature, the LUBIE LOVE installation explores the common as the rare and the distinction between mass market with that of the refined limited and unique works that qualify as “Fine Art.” Contributing works by Charles Dwyer Jr., Jay Wolf Schlossberg-Cohen, and Peck Slip Studios will be available for acquisition. Complimenting the Starz International Film Festival, special discussions with artists and filmmakers are scheduled at GALLERY M beginning November 14, 2009, at 6:00 PM.

Mr. Wolfson has been amongst others an advisor to state and national energy commissions, corporations as well as a respected contributor at NREL in Golden. The House Is Small But the Welcome Is Big

Over the past two years, an unlikely group of amateur photographers has documented the life and death struggle of HIV/AIDS in Africa. Eighteen children from Maputo, Mozambique, orphaned by AIDS, and 15 HIV-positive women in Cape Town, South Africa, pointed cameras at images in their communities to tell the uncensored story of their lives. The result is a stirring exhibit of 41 photographs premiering in Denver at GALLERY M this June.
