Peck Slip Studios, a New York City film and art studio, found a great documentary to highlight it's mission - mixing fine art with "new media." In conjunction with GALLERY M, Peck Slip Studios is proud to release LUBIE LOVE - The Movie - along with the art, collectively referred to as "The Grid".

About the MOVIE:

LUBIE LOVE, the movie, is a feature documentary humorously paralleling the end of a love affair with the end of a country's dependency on oil as it relates to American gas powered vehicles.

Inspired from the 60% price increase in gas in just a year and a half (2003 to 2005), this documentary is a journey into the world of truck driving.

From the East Coast to the West, a New Jersey trucker captures core energy issues facing a country amidst the developing housing, energy and financial bubbles. LUBIE LOVE highlights consumer choice and action. We left the politicians to their own vices. The film interviews experts and citizens documenting how change required of our energy lifestyle is consumer driven. LUBIE LOVE is certain to be a fan favorite as well as a collectible work of art.

While other films address the global crisis from a political and national point of view,("An Inconvenient Truth", "Who Killed The Electric Car") LUBIE LOVE humorously explores and asks "tough" questions to the consumer and experts on how and why change is necessary. Rather than be "taken out to the woodshed," LUBIE LOVE provides compelling reasons for change. The film does so without the typical armageddon - "the world is going to end tomorrow" - manner.

When viewed at an upcoming festival, near-by theater, on a collectible DVD or collectible "Nano Grid", LUBIE LOVE actually takes you less time to enjoy than trying to catch a plane at most American airports. (And if you happen to be on a plane, the sixty six minute film exposes you to a nation deserving care and effective repair by consumer actions alone). American consumerism vs. political due process is a faster change mechanism available to each dollar owning person because the vote is always counted accurately. Own your copy of LUBIE LOVE - it's a simple order request away.

About the ART:

The fine art of film and video is that multiple talents have to be effectively choreographed into a visually compelling story worthy of sharing. Peck Slip Studios is happy to offer "The GRID", a group of works by select artists related to "Lubie Love" along with the digital versions of the film.

While on film, leading artists and their works are featured (Alexandra Nechita, Alexander Renoir have cameos) . Available today is Artist Charles Dwyer Jr.'s "Lubie's Love" - a gorgeous example of how he has mastered the use of "oil". Other works by Schlossberg-Cohen, Palla Jeroff and Howard Schatz were inspirational backdrops for the expert interviews held at GALLERY M during the 2005 and 2006 Denver shoot." Lubie's Love
Digitally a limited series of 9 different color media players (NANOS), explore the artistic experience behind "LUBIE LOVE." Each signed and limited edition player enables a personal experience - undisturbed by outside influences when listened to with headphones. While a theatrical debut reaches the masses, a "NANO GRID" is an experience available to only a select few today. In the vernacular of the film, if you prefer the "good ole, reliable" DVD, consider owning the limited edition - digitally mastered like a fine American made automobile. Not concerned about scarcity of resources, view the film as an open edition, standard release.

The days of theater going remains a pastime of American culture. One that unfortunately will not work if the projector has no power and the lights do not turn back on.
